High fashion inspires our studio, and renovating this Muskoka lake house meant blending elegance with the casual ease of summer living. Original features—the sash windows and flagstone hearth—remain, while custom-designed furniture brings a personalized expression. A 16-foot curved sofa encircles the fireplace, its railroading eliminating seams, with a 10-legged wood bench continuing the curve. A custom carpet was mapped to cast blush shadows through varied loop and pile heights. Douglas fir, larch, honed bedrock, and aluminum define the ground level, while the primary bedroom and ensuite embrace a subdued mood. Designed to be cherished, the home’s natural materials offer lasting timelessness.
We loved working on this project for many reasons, but especially because it is designed to be cherished and enjoyed for years to come. With an abundant natural wood and stone, it embodies a classic timelessness that is sure to last for generations.
