potter vessel [blackened steel]

$650.00 CAD

Potter vessels are Ashley's take on sculpture. They can be filled with floral arrangements, grouped, or left on their own.

The steel is blackened through a controlled finishing process, resulting in a darkened surface with subtle tonal variation. The finish remains stable over time, holding its depth and character without ongoing change.

Handcrafted in Toronto, each piece reflects the precision of its making. Each vessel includes a glass insert that allows it to hold blooms or branches.

small
The teeniest of our bestselling potter vessel family, its minimalist form holds a single exotic stem or a handful of wildflowers gathered during a summer walk. We’ve made its sweet petite size proportional to our other vessels for creating dynamic compositional groupings of two, three, or all four.

medium
The mid-size version of our potter vessel series, each made of blackened steel with a clear matte coating. Its rich materiality and 14-inch height express a sculptural elegance when it stands solo with flowers or without. A glass insert allows for living floral arrangements to be added.

large
At 22 inches in height, the Large potter vessel tows the line between functional object and sculptural form. Its impressive scale and hand-rubbed blackened steel texture make it well-suited to be placed on the floor or at one end of a large dining table. Ideal for large branch arrangements or when you want to just go wild with big florals.

tall
The tall potter vessel is the slimmest version of a family of three vases handcrafted in blackened steel. Its hand-rubbed finish shows off rather than hides the slight imperfections of natural metal, making each vessel unique. Its sleek profile looks best when filled with simple floral arrangements, or when placed on a shelf with nothing in it all.

wood
Clean and remove stains using lemon juice or vinegar. Serving boards should be left to dry in a flat position.

blackened-steel
Clean using a warm, damp cloth and mild detergent.

copper
Make a simple cleaning paste of table salt diluted in a ¼ cup of lemon juice and rub over the surface using a soft cloth. Do not rub with too much abrasion, as copper is prone to scratching. Rinse with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.

bronze, brass, and other metal
Use a soft cloth to clean or dust, and Simichrome to achieve a high polish.
