potter vessel [copper]

$950.00 CAD

Our copper potter vessel series explores the natural evolution of the material through oxidation.

Each vessel is formed as a sculptural object, with a glass insert that allows it to hold blooms or branches. The process begins in the workshop, where our blacksmith initiates oxidation with a measured degree of contact, allowing the surface to arrive already in development.

As a living material, copper records its environment. Exposure to air and touch gradually deepens the surface to a rich brown patina, with tonal variation that continues to evolve over time.

Available in small, tall, medium and large.

Handcrafted in Toronto, each vessel comes with a glass insert for wet arrangements.

small
This petite charmer is the smallest version in the potter vessel family, ideal for showing off a single bud or a tiny handful of field flowers.

medium
The medium copper potter vessel is beloved for its versatility. It perfectly suits expertly arranged bouquets or casual bunches of fresh flowers.

large
At 22-inches in height the large copper potter vessel is ideal for big bouquets of unruly tall grasses or showy hydrangeas.

tall
The tall copper potter vessel is the slimmest version of the family, designed to stand on its own or as part of a grouping. Its elongated profile and narrow footprint make it especially suitable for wet or dry long stems.

Clean and remove stains using lemon juice or vinegar. Serving boards should be left to dry in a flat position.

blackened-steel
Clean using a warm, damp cloth and mild detergent.

copper
Make a simple cleaning paste of table salt diluted in a ¼ cup of lemon juice and rub over the surface using a soft cloth. Do not rub with too much abrasion, as copper is prone to scratching. Rinse with warm water and dry with a clean cloth.

bronze, brass, and other metal
Use a soft cloth to clean or dust, and Simichrome to achieve a high polish.
