With a slight lift from off the floor, Poppy has the appearance of a formalist box held in aerial suspension. Its narrow base is also practical, allowing a vacuum nose to clean around it without damage. Poppy is at its most sculptural when finished in an expressive wood (shown here in maple burl). Or, grouped as a pair, especially when two Poppies are arranged side by side and placed just inches apart.
