With a slight lift from off the floor, Poppy has the appearance of a formalist box held in aerial suspension. Its narrower base is also practical, allowing a vacuum nose to clean around it without damage. Poppy is at its most sculptural when finished in an expressive wood veneer (shown here in flat sawn Douglas fir). Or, grouped as a pair, especially when two Poppies are arranged side by side and placed just inches apart.
